The protection of whistleblowers is fundamental for companies involved in the Lyon–Turin project. Known in Anglo-Saxon terminology as “whistleblowers”, this mechanism is essential not only for compliance with regulations, but also to ensure transparency in professional activities related to the project. It reflects a commitment to “shedding light” through a whistleblowing system.
Pursuant to Law No. 2016-1691 of 9 December 2016 (known as the Sapin II Law), which applies to TELT as a French legal entity, and in accordance with Article 54-bis of Italian Legislative Decree 165/2001, TELT has implemented an alert system for reporting behaviours that may involve attempts at corruption or other offences involving employees, collaborators, and suppliers.
The “Recipients” of the procedure are:
- TELT executives and members of governing bodies
- TELT employees
- Partners, suppliers, consultants, and external collaborators
Reports may be submitted anonymously to the company’s Ethics Officer or to the Ethics Committee, in accordance with the procedures set out in the annex to the Code of Ethics. TELT protects whistleblowers against any form of retaliation and guarantees maximum confidentiality.
